In my early years, I thought investing was all about modeling, comps tables, valuation precision, etc.—down to the third decimal point in a 10-year forecast. But over time, I realized that basic financial analysis is just table stakes. Thousands of analysts can build a good model.

In March 2022, I left Brookfield and we started building Cap Six in a quest to re-imagine the asset management model for the 21st century. We wanted a platform that could deliver more consistent returns at a lower cost, with more flexibility, greater transparency, and the ability to scale with less bureaucracy and bias. Being investors ourselves, we wanted something inspired, and felt the traditional model was dated and frustrating.
